Psychiatry OPD and Consultation
People from different walks of life seek appointment for consultation with Dr Shailesh Pangaonkar from the reception staff on all working days . For adult patients ( 18 to 60 years) OPD accommodates only 50 patients per day on four days of the week ( Mon, Tue, Wed, Friday) . By virtue of interest and training in Cognitive Sciences Dr Pangaonkar has allotted Thursdays for Senior Citizens to deal with their Memory and other behavioural problems. On Saturdays, the OPD is exclusively groomed for children having developmental, learning, attention and behavioural problems.
The OPD is serving society since 1998 and Dr Shailesh Pangaonkar has attended more than 80000 adults, 10,000 children and 7200 senior citizens with behavioural problems.
The Psychiatry OPD at Central Institute of Behavioral Sciences provides consultation and expert care for all patients having psychiatric problems covering the entire psychiatric diagnostic spectrum. Apart from comprehensive treatment and care, the OPD also offers preventive methods and awareness by expert psychiatrists. .

Child and Adolescent OPD
With the mission of serving the future and vision of prevention and early intervention the clinic serves children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health difficulties to prevent and deal with early onset neuropsychiatric disorders from 0 to 17 years old and their families.
School children and youth visit for their difficulties related to concentration, memory and goal setting for which they are guided for various inhouse programs.
Senior Citizen/ Geriatric OPD
Geriatric Memory Clinic and Research Centre at CIBS is a clinic for the elderly above the age of 60 years with various neuropsychiatric issues like dementia (including Alzheimer's Dementia), Depression, Psychosis, and other age related psychiatric issues. It is a multidisciplinary approach to the mental health issues of the elderly involving Psychiatrists, Neurologists,Neuropsychologists and mental health workers.
