Central Institute of Behavioural Sciences, established in 2000, is a multidisciplinary institute working in the sector of mental health. The institute believes in holistic intervention and follows the umbrella approach as it provides services under one roof for all age groups. Since its inception the institute has strived for the betterment of mental health under the able guidance of its Founder Director Dr. Shailesh Pangaonkar. Dr. Pangaonkar is a renowned psychiatrist, author, orator and expert in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Cognitive Sciences. He has a rich experience of serving mental health in Central India for more than 17 years and has pioneered many concepts in the field of Behavioural Sciences.

Central Institute of Behavioural Sciences is served by a dedicated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, developmental therapist, occupational therapist, special educators and mental health workers with a common mission of applying scientific clinical knowledge of human behaviours and mental health in various settings.

Dr. Shailesh Pangaonkar is the Founder  Director of Central Institute of Behavioural Sciences. Dr. Pangaonkar is a renowned psychiatrist, author, orator and expert in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Cognitive Sciences. He has a rich experience of serving mental health in Central India for more than 17 years and has pioneered many concepts in the field of Behavioural Sciences.

Dr. Deeepali Pangaonkar

 Dr. Deepali Pangaonkar, MBBS, MSc. PhD, PGDHR, is a behavioural scientist with an experience of two decades. She has developed her skills along with the department for behavioral interventions, clinical assessments, group therapies, relaxation techniques and career counselling.

Mrs. Jyoti Tembhekar

Mrs. Jyoti Tembhekar, M.A (Clinical, Counselling and Industrial psychology) is a RCI recognized clinical psychologist having an experience of 12 years in CIBS. She conducts psychometric assessment of children and adults. She is also involved in psychoeducational counselling, study motivation and research activities of the institute. She was also part of the clinical trials and group psychotherapy activities.

Mrs. Sandhya Meshram, MA, MSW is having a special role of counsellor using psycho-social therapies. She is involved in clinical assessments and research activities. She is part of the institute for last 4 years. She is involved in administration of standardized clinical rating scales.

Miss. Simki Dey

Miss. Simki Dey, MA, M.Sc., is involved in research, editorial and clinical assessment activities. Her work profile also includes neuropsychological assessment and associated remediation activities. She handles the Neurocognitive laboratory of the Central Institute of Behavioural Sciences

Mrs.Pravina Raut

Mrs. Pravina S .Raut (B.Com, Diploma in Special Education and Bridge course on ASD, ADHD, and speech and language therapy) runs the developmental department. She has a rich experience of 20+ years in the field and has handled over 500 children with Intellectual disability, 200+ children with autism and 200+ children with cerebral palsy and related problems. Her team consists of special educators, mental health workers and interns.

Mrs. Madhumita Kshirsagar

Mrs. Madhumita Kshirsagar, M. Com, N.T.T., M. A. Psychology (Scholar) is a remedial therapist at CIBS and handles the Educational Remediation Program working extensively with children having Learning Difficulties and scholastic problems. She administers the SOAHM project.
